Institutional mission
The mission of Association Smart YIRIBA is to contribute to human and community development in Mali by promoting information and communication technologies, employment for young people and women, technical and vocational training, entrepreneurship and the design of development projects.
Statutory purposes
Article 5 of the statutes sets out the association’s areas of work and objectives:
- Entrepreneurship and project incubation
- Computing and information and communication technologies (ICT)
- Leadership
- Open Data, free software and Open Source
- Production and distribution of digital content about Mali
- Girls’ science education and ICT in primary schools
- Personal development and mentoring for girls
- Artificial intelligence
- Digitalisation of businesses and civil society associations
- Training, meetings, conferences and workshops
- Digital innovation: BarCamps, BlogCamps, hackathons and competitions
- Awareness of copyright and its alternatives, and promotion of content that is free to use
- Appropriate use of technology and awareness of social media risks
